Event Details

Due to public demand and the support of generous sponsors, we are offering two nights of incredible artwork.  Wander through the historic Old City Jail in Downtown Charleston while viewing the artistic talents of over 40 artists, sipping cocktails, and enjoying food from wonderful chefs. Ticket sales, 20% of all sales,  and a few designated pieces up for auction will benefit Pattison’s Academy - a 501(c)(3) organization. Many artists featured are up and coming on the local art scene while others are well known professionals and have been featured in local galleries.  This event will give your local artists an avenue to showcase and sell their work while supporting a much needed camp and school for children with severe disabilities.

The McAlister Preview Night is Thursday, September 25 from 6 to 9 pm and the number of tickets sold is limited.  This night is a little more intimate so those who are serious about the artwork and understanding the artist's interpretations and intentions have a chance to get to study the pieces on display and meet the artist.  The ticket price will include haute cuisine from J.B.C., a full bar, a sneak peek and first option to buy artwork in the show.

The Floyd Brace Art for Everyone night is Friday, September 26 from 6 to 9:30 pm and is a more casual evening.  The ticket price includes beer and wine, heavy hors d'oeuvres from SunFire Grill, and music from the Camp Road String Band.  Guests wil still be able to meet with the artists present.  The Jail will actually be open all day to anyone who has purchased a ticket so that guests can enjoy the venue more, but the party starts at 6.

Pattison's Academy

Children with severe physical and cognitive disabilities face huge obstacles. Although many have remarkable potential for healthy growth, learning and joy, our community doesn’t offer them much help to develop it.

Pattison’s Academy is a 501(c)(3) organizations (EIN 20-3419262). Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children with multiple disabilities by providing comprehensive education and rehabilitation programs.

Our mission will be accomplished through two initiatives: a summer camp that began in 2006 and a Pattison's Academy for Comprehensive Education (PACE), a charter school to address educational and medical rehabilitation goals that will open in the fall of 2010
